Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli, within the scope of his contacts in Hungary; participated in the Budapest Water Summit that it was inaugurated by President Janos ADER. Minister Pakdemirli held bilateral contacts with Hungarian Minister of Agriculture Istvan NAGY following the summit.
During the meeting, it was held a consultation about agricultural relations between two countries, Syria and Fountain of Peace Operation that Hungary is in favor of Turkey.
It was also agreed that the bilateral relations in the field of agriculture would be taken to a higher level with the meeting and technical level meeting planned in 2020.
Afterwards, Minister Pakdemirli visited the Tomb of Gül Baba, one of the Ottoman monuments in Hungary.
Turkey's Ambassador to Budapest Ahmet Akif Oktay accompanied to Minister Pakdemirli, visited the tomb .

Gül Baba passed away on 2 September 1541 during the expedition of Suleiman the Magnificent. According to historical records, Suleiman the Magnificent personally attended Gul Baba's funeral prayer.
Gül Baba Tomb was built by Yahya Paşazade Mehmet Pasha who was the 3rd Governer of Budin in 1543-1548 period.
