a) Making socioeconomic analysis of the measures proposed within the scope of river basin management plans,
b) Evaluating the costs of alternative measures necessary for the protection, rehabilitation, reclamation and use of water bodies,
c) Searching for appropriate methods that will provide cost recovery for the expenditures to be made for the protection, reclamation, improvement and use of water bodies,
d) Determining the general principles of water tariffs and monitoring the implementations,
e) Justifying the exemption needs that may arise in the watershed management plans, considering the basic and complementary measures,
f) Determining the cost of the pollution load discharged to the receiving environment,
g) Following and reporting national and international studies on the subjects within the scope of the division, preparing legislations and guidance documents on needed issues or to have them prepared, to carry out or have training studies,
h) Performing other duties assigned by the Head of Department.
