Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bekir Pakdemirli, looked after 22 year old Özge Dağgül, whose dowery was caught with the flood waters in Duzce flood disaster on July 17 and 18 and has provided a new dowery instead of the one swept by flood waters.
Özge Dağgül, who works as a cashier at a supermarket in Akçakoca district and lives in Uğurlu village, supports both her sister's education and her father who cannot work due to his illness, with the money she earns.
Dağgül, who is preparing to marry her fiancé next month, had also received a dowery with her savings. Dağgül's dowery was flooded during the flooding and landslides in the region on July 17 and 18.
Minister Bekir Pakdemirli, who saw Dağgül's sadness in her social media sharing, instructed to Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Necdet Çiçek by calling, to young girl's all dowery to be taken again.
Thereupon the young girl went dowery shopping in Duzce city center and talked with Minister Pakdemirli on video by mobile phone to thanked him.
"WE ALWAYS BEEN WITH OUR OZGE'S"
Minister Pakdemirli, in his speech Dağgül'e, seeing this special situation immediately wanted to help him and wished to be open fortune in his marriage, he said.
In his speech Minister Pakdemirli said to Dağgül, when he saw this special situation, he wanted to help her immediately and wished her luck would be open in her marriage.
Pakdemirli pointing out that the state is always with its citizens and said that; "We have taken every precaution against this and similar disasters. But from time to time such disasters occur in our country and in the world. Allah, do not let such disasters ever again and we will meet you on good days."
Pakdemirli said that "We stand by our Ozge's. We always been with our Ozge's and we will continue to be. We do not want to give our Ozge's hopes to floods. Our state will do its best to cover the wounds."
