Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Prof. Dr. Vahit Kirişci accompanied President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in his Azerbaijan program, where he performed a series of opening and ground-breaking ceremonies.
Minister Kirişci attended the ceremony held at Zangilan International Airport, which is the second airport built with the contributions of Turkish companies in Azerbaijan's liberated territory.
Minister Kirişci then attended the opening ceremony of the first phase of the Dost Agropark Zengilan Smart Agricultural Village Project, held by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
The project will contribute to the food security of Azerbaijan and Turkey and will be implemented in 3 phases. It will also provide an opportunity to present region's agricultural and animal products to the international market.
FRIENDSHIP FOREST WITH AZERBAIJAN
Afterwards, Minister Kirişci attended the ground-breaking ceremonies of Kumlak Train Station and Azerbaijan-Turkey International Forest Training Centre, Smart Sapling and Friendship Forest Complex.
Minister Kirişci and his Azerbaijani counterpart Inam Kerimov gave information about the Friendship Forest to the two leaders who laid the foundations of the facilities.
In the program where the leaders planted saplings, 15 baby gazelles were released to nature.
