a) To establish general principles and fundamentals for assessing the impact of investments and activities on water bodies,
b) Evaluating the impact of investments and activities on water bodies ta- king into account the river basin based management plans,
c) To evaluate and give opinions for EIA reports in terms of impact on water resources,
d) To give opinions for impacts of investments and activities on water bodies by providing necessary coordination,
e) Following and reporting national and international studies on the subjects within the scope of the division, preparing legislations and guidance documents on needed issues or to have them prepared, to carry out or have training studies,
f) Performing other duties assigned by the Head of Department.
