a) To determine the principles and targets, and to develop strategies and policies on the use of models in water management,
b) To carry out studies on the use of models in water management and to ensure that appropriate models are selected, adapted, used, developed and updated within this scope,
c) Providing the standard data of basin and sub-basin scale required for use in model studies,
d) To ensure the co-development and implementation of appropriate models for each water body, to evaluate the consistency and sensitivities of the applied models,
e) Making predictions about the future in terms of water management by using the statistical results related to water in the models.
f) To coordinate between institutions and organizations in order to ensure the efficient operation of the models used and the applicability of the outputs,
g) Developing models for basins and sub-basins that will enable the development of the most appropriate protection policy according to different scenarios,
h) To produce results for implementation in the field of water management by evaluating the data produced on the basin scale,
i) To follow and report national and international studies on the issues within the field of working group, to prepare legislation, to prepare guidance documents and to provide or to make training,
j) Performing other tasks that will be assigned by the General Directorate of Monitoring and Water Information System Department.
