
Graduated from METU
Construction Engineering Department in 1992, fulfilled her masters degree also
in METU Construction Engineering, Water Resources Department.
Has carried out
planning studies between 1992-2006 in General Directorate for State Hydraulic
Works, participated in both tender and implementation phases of drinking water
and sewage treatment projects, worked in international financed dam
construction and irrigation projects. Conducted studies in 2003 in the Council of Europe Development Bank
(Paris, France), on dam construction and irrigation projects financed by the Bank.
Has continued to work
as an European Union Expert; in 2006 at General Secretariat of the European
Union, as General Secretariat transformed to a Ministry after 2011 in the
Ministry for the European Union Affairs. Between the years 2013-2018 she served
as Director of Sectoral Policies in the Ministry. Has worked for harmonization
of legislation on Regional Policies and EU Structural Funds, coordination of
IPA (EU Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance) Regional Development Component
and harmonization of EU legislation and monitoring of the sectors on the Environment,
Climate Change, Energy and Transportation Policy.
Was appointed as Director
General for the European Union and Foreign Relations of the Ministry of
Agriculture and Forestry under the Presidential Decree No. 2018/145 dated 18
August 2018.
