To prepare the basin based sectoral water allocation plans, to coordinate the activities to be carried out on this issue, to carry out the works and process, to prepare the reports to be presented to the Water Management Coordination Committee,

Keeping basin-scale sectoral water registry on water resources and executing related actions and procedures,

Determination of principles, doctrines, standards and policies to follow up basin scale water management plans, 

Following up and reporting Basin Protection Action Plan implementations in basin and province scale,

Following up and reporting Basin Management Plan and Drinking water

Basin Protection Plan implementations,

Following up and reporting sectoral water allocation implementations in basin scale,

Conducting the secretariat for Water Management Coordination Committee

Coordination of Basin Management Committees and Provincial Water Management Coordination Boards studies, evaluation of their reports and reporting issues to higher councils,

Following up and reporting related national and international studies, preparation of legislations and guidance documents, facilitating educations.
